Regulations Your child is being cared for and educated during his/ her most formative years and in order to maintain the high standards of the nursery it is important that parents read the following regulation and adhere to them.

Hours of opening

Children cannot be accepted into the nursery before 7.30am and the latest they may be collected is 6.00pm. The morning session finishes at 12.30pm and the afternoon session begins at 1.30. Children attending nursery part time must abide by these times.

It is important that the person in charge is notified if your child is to be absent. This can be done by calling at the nursery or by telephoning before 9.00am if possible. We regret that refunds cannot be given in the case of absence.

The nursery is open throughout the year except for statutory bank holidays WHICH YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR and approximately 5 working days at Christmas, depending upon which day Christmas day falls WHICH ARE FREE. Each child is entitled to 2 WEEKS holidays per year at HALF FEES

Any child suffering from a doubtful rash, sore throat, discharge from the eyes or nose or diarrhoea will not be allowed back into nursery until 24 hours after medication from a doctor has begun. Should a child become sick at nursery, every effort will be made to contact the parents. The nursery manager reserves the right to remove the child to hospital in an emergency.

Please exercise great care when using the nursery car park. People using the car park do so at their own risk.

Clothing and personal property

Would all parents please provide your child with a spare set of clothes as the children are involved in activities, which can get quite messy (i.e. painting, gluing, sand and water). All clothing must be clearly marked with the child’s name.
When the weather permits children will be taken outside therefore it is essential that they be provided with suitable clothing. All articles are left at the nursery at the owner’s own risk.

Removal of children

The proprietor/manager reserves the right to remove a child from the nursery for any breech of regulations or if it is considered in absolute discretion that their attendance at nursery is not in the child’s best interest or is detrimental to the interests of the other children. We are concerned for the happiness of your child. If after a reasonable period of time, it is clear that the child is not settled, the proprietor/ manager may advise that the child be removed from nursery. The child may be admitted at a later date. Notice One month’s notice, in writing is required when a child is leaving the nursery. That month’s fee is due from that date. BabiesMothers of young babies please have bottle feeds made up for the day. All nappies and anything else used on baby’s bottom are to be provided by the parents.
